The product "Minerally-bonded boards made of wood chips" (non-structural building and insulating boards) is manufactured from a mixture of loose wood chips, mineral binder and optional colouring agents. The mixture is compressed to different final thicknesses of minerally-bonded boards made of wood chips(referred to also as "board" or "boards" in the further text, see Figure 1.1.1).

The boards are made with or without shape texture (profiled boards, see Figure 1.1.4). Various insulation materials according to Clause 1.3.4 (products according to EN 13162, EN 13163, EN 13168, EN 13167,EN 13169, EN 13170 or EN 13171) can be subsequently glued to the boards. Such composite boards consist of up to three layers in total (see Figures 1.1.2 and 1.1.3).

The boards can be flat or profiled.

The products are not fully covered by EN 13168, which is valid for products made of wood wool with long shavings of wood with a length to width ratio 20:1. This EAD applies to products made of wood chips with a different length to width ratio.

Concerning product packaging, transport, storage, maintenance, replacement and repair it is the responsibility of the manufacturer to undertake the appropriate measures and to advise his clients on the transport,storage, maintenance, replacement and repair of the product as he considers necessary.

What is an EAD?什么是EAD？

A European Assessment Document, or EAD for short, is a harmonised technical specification developed by EOTA as the basis for European Technical Assessments (ETAs).上海郜盟提示欧洲评估文件（简称EAD）是由欧洲技术认证组织（EOTA）制定的统一技术规范，作为欧洲技术评估（ETA）的基础。

In combination with the ETA, the EAD provides manufacturers with a way to CE marking for construction products that are not or not fully covered by a harmonised European standard (hEN) under the Construction Products Regulation (EU) 305/2011. The CE marking allows the manufacturer to freely market his product in the entire European Economic Area as well as in Switzerland and Turkey.
